About this Event
For our first live music event in over five years, we are thrilled to be welcoming the brilliant Adam Ross and Gillian Fleetwood to Cupar in December!
Adam is a songwriter based in north-east Scotland. He has led the cult indie band Randolph's Leap for over a decade, releasing music with independent labels Fika Recordings, Olive Grove Records and King Creosote and Pictish Trail’s Fence Records and Lost Map Records. He released his debut solo album 'Staring At Mountains' in 2022. He is known for his intricate, storytelling lyrical style which often blends humour and poignancy.
In May 2024, Adam released ‘Littoral Zone’ a brand-new solo album produced by multiple Scottish Album Of The Year Award nominated composer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Wasylyk and released on London label Fika Recordings.
Arts bodies Creative Scotland and Help Musicians supported and funded the album in recognition of what is one of the most exciting musical collaborations of 2024.
Gillian Fleetwood is a Scottish harpist, composer and singer based in Glasgow. She has been a key player in the Scottish harp scene for many years as part of The Duplets, and in her own right as a tutor and examiner. She is also part of Scotland's vibrant indie scene.
She has played in / with different bands, including The State Broadcasters, Pictish Trail, De Rosa, and Henry and Fleetwood.
In January Gillian released her debut solo album 'Together With Yourself At Sea Level', recorded with Scottish indie luminary C Duncan. Gillian was nominated for 'Best Composer' at the Scottish Trad Awards for this record.
Adam and Gillian will play separately and as a duo .
Support will be provided by local singer / songwriter, David Hill.
