CUMBIA COOPERATIVA x RUMBALGIA 10 Years Together!

Ten years ago, the sound of güiro, cajón, and guitars suddenly took over Prague. It feels like it was just yesterday: those warm summer nights of 2016 with Domin, Albert, David, Pep and Xabi, clapping along to those old rumba catalana tunes. It soon became popular and what began as a bit of a musical fun quickly turned into something real — Rumbalgia was born.
That same year, musicians, percussionists, singers, and travelling songwriters — many from Latin America — crossed paths by chance in Old Town Square. Boleros, valses criollos, joropos... and then the first notes of "Cariñito" rang out. That moment changed Prague's music scene forever: Cumbia Cooperativa, the city's first cumbia band, came to life.
Ten years, three full albums, and one vinyl EP later, we're throwing a party to celebrate! Come dance with us at Cafe V lese, in our beloved Krymská, same passion as day one. We want everyone there — especially the friends who once shared a stage with us. Expect surprises, old memories, and plenty of rumba and cumbia to lose yourself in.
