CULVER CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT GIRLS CAMP

To introduce young adults, ages 14-18, to a career in public safety. The program is designed to provide individuals with a realistic hands-on introduction to firefighting & EMS skills. Over two days campers will learn how to wear personal protective equipment, climb ladders, pull fire hose, CPR and more. Each student will be supervised by firefighters in a safe and physically challenging environment with an emphasis on building self-confidence and fortitude.

• Saturday November 13th & Sunday November 14th, 2021

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Check in starts at 0730 AM)

• • Teens of all genders ages 14-18 years of age are welcomed
  • This is a free two-day camp, it is not an overnight camp

• Each Camper will be provided with: Personal protective equipment, water, Gatorade, lunch

• Each Camper is required to bring: Workout attire (sneakers, shorts, t-shirt), water bottle

Camp Activities Include:

• PPE donning/doffing • SCBA donning

• Aerial ladder climb • Introduction to power tools

• CPR/AED/First Aid • Hose handling

• Forcible Entry • Fire Extinguishers
