CULTURE DAYS AT ENRICHED BREAD ARTISTS STUDIOSSaturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Many of the Enriched Bread Artists are first- and second-generation Canadians, and questions of culture often lie at the heart of our conversations about art. Reflecting the diversity of our members, this Culture Days exhibition will showcase a wide range of mediums, with a strong focus on printmaking.
In recent years, printmaking itself has expanded in exciting directions. While some artists continue to work with classic techniques and create beautiful traditional editions, others are pushing boundaries with innovative processes, unique single images, mixed media, and even three-dimensional works. At EBA, we have embraced this spirit of experimentation. For Culture Days, we are presenting both the new and the traditional: from contemporary Gelli Arts® printing to the centuries-old Japanese practice of Mokuhanga, reimagined through today’s artistic lens.
Visitors will also have the chance to meet artists, ask questions, and learn more about their creative approaches.
Exhibiting artists include Michael Ashley, Julie Baribeau, Maren Elliot, Sayward Johnson, Gayle Kells, Juliana McDonald, Daniel Sharp, Svetlana Swinimer, Tavi Weiss, Yvonne Wiegers, Joyce Westrop, and Katherine Zarull.
Please join us as we celebration Canada’s cultural richness with an art exhibition featuring some of our studios’ visual artists.
