Culture Club

An art-making happy hour where we learn new techniques in community with other creatives. Join us at the Center for Visual Art where we will look to the artwork and mediums found in CVA's Dance of Resistance exhibition for inspiration.

No art-making experience is necessary, all levels are welcome. Art-making materials will be provided by CVA. BYOB

Dance of Resistance is an exhibition featuring the work of LGBTQ+ artists who voice the stories of their communities, exploring histories and offering pathways to healing and empowerment. Through figural depictions that place the Queer body firmly in the spotlight, the artists reveal their lived experiences and imagined futures, illuminating the power of art to inspire change and foster understanding in our diverse world. What is Culture Club?

Culture Club is CVA's artmaking meetup. Mingle with fellow art lovers, meet up with friends (or make new ones) and try out a new artmaking technique. We supply the space, snacks and supplies, all you need to bring are your ideas.

Culture Club attendees are welcome to show up early to check out the exhibition on view in the galleries.
