About this Event

Join us on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, as local clock specialist Ray Snouffer returns to the Miller House to share "From Ashes to Singing Again: The Restoration of an Early Miniature Singing Bird Box."

This fascinating talk explores the nearly 1000-hour restoration process of a miniature singing bird box from the early 1870s, which had been nearly destroyed in a fire, leaving only the clockwork portion. Ray Snouffer shares his process and challenges behind restoring the beautiful singing box, including the lessons he learned along the way as a horologist and restorer of antique time pieces.

Culture & Cocktails is generously sponsored by the James & Mary Schurz Foundation. C&C is held on the second Friday of each month from 6:00-8:00 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Refreshments and one complimentary drink ticket are included with each ticket.

This month's cocktail will be announced soon!
