Cultural Safety LE 2023

The Seven Dancers Coalition invites you to take part in a one-day workshop designed for law enforcement, advocates, service providers, court personnel and others to build skills and awareness to effectively serve our unique populations.   With this workshop we hope to better protect Native American women and our families.  As we repair and heal generations of wounds to individuals and communities, we developed this program to help others learn culturally positive responses to victims of violence, domestic abuse, and sexual assault. In addition to speakers from Seven Dancers who share traditional values and beliefs, guest speakers include Bob Passonno from NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, and Brian Mohr, Erie County Sheriff’s Office. We are fortunate to host the program here in Saratoga Springs at the United Methodist Church on April 19, from 9 AM – 4 PM.  We will ask participants to register for lunch.  Volunteer servers will be welcome! We need your help.  Please get the word out.  Donate!  We do not charge so that cost will never be a barrier to learning more.  If you would like to be a co-sponsor, we welcome you or your organization.  Your donation of $50, $100. $200, or any amount will be used to cover the costs of this event.  We will list you in our program.  If you want to sign on, please contact me and share your logo as soon as possible.
