About this Event
Community Meeting Room, Main Library, 40 Washington Street, Quincy, MA, 02169
In this talk, Brad Lopes (Aquinnah Wampanoag) will share about the important role of cultural literacy in building accurate narratives about Indigenous peoples and relationships with them and their communities. How to best go about identifying literature and resources to learn will also be discussed. Finally, he will discuss the ways in which historical literature and narrative-making practices have impacted and, at times, been shaped by the Indigenous peoples of these lands and waterways. Participants will also have an opportunity to engage in a short Q&A session at the end.
This program is made possible by the generous sponsorship of the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library. to find out more about their work and how you can get involved.
