About this Event
Become the Cultural Lead for your school to get the most benefit from 11 by 11 programmes. Hear about new opportunities and special ticket offers through the network and disseminate information to your colleagues. We will support you to be an advocate for cultural learning in your school and you will get the chance to shape the programme to school's needs through your feedback to us.
The Spring Term network meeting will focus on Artsmark - the creative quality standard for education settings, accredited by Arts Council England.
We will be joined by Artsmark Consultant, Lynne Brackley from A New Direction, who will discuss the role of arts in the curriculum, how it can support Ofsted aspirations, and how A New Directiom support schools to achieve the Artsmark accreditation for their setting. Pooles Park's Cultural Lead will talk about their Artsmark journey and the development of arts curriculum in school.
The Culture Team will share the enrichment self-assessment tool: the MCC:SET, free for Islington Schools, which can be used as a stepping-stone in the achievement of Artsmark accreditation.
There will also be an update on the 11 by 11 Summer Festival and how schools can participate.
Refreshments will served before and after the meeting for a chance for informal networking with colleagues.
