Cultural Awareness 101

Join us for a full day of Cultural Learnings with respected Nyungar educator Dennis Simmons and co facilitator Marilee Liddell.

Take an introduction into the history, culture, and key issues facing Australia in Aboriginal and Torres Islander space. This workshop will build your understanding of Aboriginal history, culture, kinship, issues and protocols. Through open discussions, group activities, and visual aids, you will develop a deeper understanding of topical matters such as Closing the Gap, Black Lives Matter, Uluru Statement, Reconciliation Action Plans and Equity vs Equality.
