A weekend exploring matriarchal leadership, the power of relationship, and creating change that lasts.
About this Event

What does courage really look like? And how do "ordinary" people cultivate it in themselves, their families, and their communities?

Join us for a powerful two-day experience inspired by , the award-winning documentary following Wet'suwet'en land defenders, including Chiefs and matriarchs Freda Huson and Brenda Michell, as they protect their ancestral lands while creating a vision for healing, leadership, and future generations.

Begin the weekend under the stars with an outdoor screening of Yintah, then return the following day for an intimate conversation with Freda and Brenda as they share the lessons behind the story from matriarchal leadership and the power of relationship to sustaining hope, building community, and creating change that lasts.

Whether you're a parent, caregiver, educator, community leader, or simply someone wondering how to make a meaningful difference, you'll leave with a renewed understanding that courage isn't something we're born with, it's something we cultivate together.

Please note that Yintah is rated R, and this weekend is intended for adults and mature youth (ages 16+). To help make the Saturday evening screening more accessible, subsidized onsite childcare will be available.

Purchase tickets for either event individually or join us for the full weekend experience.

Further cultivate courage, community, and connection with optional add-ons designed to make the weekend more accessible and meaningful for everyone:

  • Onsite Childminding – Helping make the Saturday evening screening more accessible for families with children aged 36 months and older.
  • Cultivating Community Ticket – Help us welcome invited members of local Nations and youth, creating a weekend rooted in relationship, shared learning, and community.
  • Supporters' Social – Connect with Freda Huson and Brenda Michell in a relaxed small-group setting while helping support the success of the weekend.
