At ARC&D we feel it is important to not only be engaged and helping in the very real, immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene, but that it's also important to keep a long view perspective that a new day does dawn bringing fresh, new opportunities. We see ourselves as a bridge that our community can utilize to make that crossing. This event can be just that, cultivating common ground for many years to come. On Saturday, November 16, join us for “Cultivating Common Ground,” a special FREE open house event celebrating Appalachian RC&D’s 30th anniversary. We’re bringing the entire region together as one to support local agriculture, food access for all our local communities, and protect the natural beauty of Appalachia…and we invite you to celebrate with us!
We are proud of our role over the last three decades to promote land conservation, sustainable agriculture and protect the agricultural lands, natural resource base and rural communities upon which the quality of life of Northeast Tennessee depends. We also look to the future as we inspire the next generation of individuals and respond innovatively to the needs of today’s rural communities.
We will have LIVE music by Kris Truelsen and the Farm and Fun Time House Band, small bites featuring local food, cookies by Side Hustle Custom Cookies, and a special beer release from JCBC.
Proudly sponsored by our partners: Brushy Fork Environmental Consulting, First Bank and Trust, TN Farm Bureau - Gray
