About this Event
Join us for a workshop at the beautiful Farm at Water's Edge! This is a Certified Salmon Safe farm that has a U-Pick vegetable garden, CSA box service, community garden, chickens, and small ruminants. We will join Farm Manager Heather Hamilton to learn about the stewardship practices they implement to protect salmon health.
The workshop will touch on the following topics:
- Vegetable Gardens & Production
- Food Forests
- Native Pollinator Habitat
- Season Extension
- Livestock & Manure Management
We will start promptly at 4pm and will be taking a tour of the entire farm; this will include walking on uneven ground. Please dress appropriately for the weather; there is a classroom space we may use for questions at the end, depending on the weather.
