In this workshop, you will learn practical tools designed to support you in cultivating a regular meditation practice. From the logistics of creating a sacred space for meditation to learning how to approach the mind, we will embark on an inner journey to the essence of one’s being.This workshop will include:
-A presentation on what is meditation, it’s purpose and benefits.
-Creating an intention that will support you in cultivating a regular practice.
-The logistics of when, where and how to meditate.
-How to prepare the body for meditation as well as exploring different meditation postures in order to find the one that is right for you.
-BREATH WORK to expand your capacity for the natural breath and as a means to quiet the mind.
-The nature of the mind and how to approach the mind in meditation.
-The power of dharana as a vehicle to enter into your inner most being.
-A list of resources to support you in cultivating a regular meditation practice.
-3 group meditation sessions via zoom on Fridays October 4th, 11th and 18th from 8:00am to 9:00am. You are invited to join this workshop via zoom if you live outside of Houston or if you can’t make one or more of the live sessions you can request access to the recordings.
