Cultivate, Collaborate, and Connect: Izdihar In-Person Symposium

Welcome to our first in-person event ! Join us for a welcome reception on Monday, September 9th, followed by two days (Tuesday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 11th) of insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and hands-on workshops. Don't miss out on this chance to grow your skills, meet like-minded individuals, and expand your horizons. Topics will include coalition building and collective action, running an organization and working with a Board of Directors, mentorship of emerging women leaders, and reducing barriers to women's participation in decision-making in MENA.

CIPE’s budget fully supports 15 in-person participants and will select individuals based on diverse country representation, background in economic policy and governance, and active engagement in the Izdihar network. CIPE also welcomes registration from participants willing to pay for their own airfare and lodging. CIPE provides group meals and a small stipend for incidental expenses outside of group activities for all in-person participants. More information regarding lodging and conference facilities is expected by mid-August. CIPE will provide support, where possible, to all participants with any visa or travel document support needed for travel. In addition, CIPE will provide a remote option for participants not able to attend in person.

Izdihar: Regional Alliance of Women Experts is a CIPE-supported community of women leaders from the Middle East and North Africa region. The objective of Izdihar is to amplify and enhance the leadership and expertise of its members and give them space to discuss reform issues, productively debate policy perspectives, share professional expertise, crowdsource solutions to challenges, and lend each other mutual support and encouragement.
