Heavy Metal is a visually stunning adult-oriented animated anthology film that explores themes of sex violence and science fiction. The film is framed by a story of a mysterious green orb the Loc-Nar that infects a young girl with its evil influence. The orb then proceeds to tell a series of unrelated stories each more bizarre and fantastic than the last.
