There is nothing quite like the smell—or taste—of bread made from scratch.
Learn the science and techniques behind successful homemade bread during this hands-on workshop with Chef Instructor Jerome Picca.
You will explore:
🍞 Yeast-risen doughs
🥐 Quick breads
🫓 Flatbreads
🥣 Homemade toppings, dips, sauces and spreads
🌾 Gluten development and leavening agents
🌡️ The effects of temperature, humidity, climate and ingredients
This workshop goes beyond recipes to help you understand why dough behaves the way it does—and how to produce better results at home.
Only 10 participants will be accepted.
Great Bay provides the ingredients, knives, cutting boards, apron, towels and kitchen supplies. Participants must wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with slip-resistant soles. Bring containers and a bag for taking prepared food home.
Enrollment closes at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 6.
