About this Event
This is an event hosted jointly by the Mexican Consultate in Austin, Instituto de Mexicanas y Mexicanos en el Exterior (Institute of Mexicans Living Abroad), the Latin Arts, Culture and Education (LACE) and A Better Force (ABF). We will be discussing the the feelings of emptiness that immigrants often have to navigate after relocation and the reverberating effects it creates on their own lives and community. After the presentation, we will have a moderated discussion where we will also present strategies on how to manage these difficult emotions and become more civically engaged.
