BSisters (Behnaz & Baharak Khaleghi) have their sculptural installation Zahāk on view in Cube Space from April 27 -July 17, 2026.
Located in Downtown Berkeley, Cube Space is a contemporary art gallery that is always open and visible to the public; however, its street-facing location does not provide an appropriate setting for in-depth conversations about artists’ projects and practices.
The Berkeley Art Center, which for almost 60 years has worked to make contemporary art accessible and engaging for diverse communities through exhibitions, events, and programs, hosts this artist talk in its gallery space in Live Oak Park.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
BSisters (Behnaz & Baharak Khaleghi) are multidisciplinary artists and collaborators originating from Iran, currently living in the Bay Area. Behnaz received her MFA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley in 2017, and Baharak received her MFA in Photography from San Jose State University in 2018. Behnaz's work has been acclaimed and chosen among Bay Area emerging artists as part of the Murphy and Cadogan Contemporary Art Awards program and has been exhibited at the de Young Museum and the Berkeley Art Museum. Baharak's work has been exhibited at the de Young Museum and Root Division.
