🔥 INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED CUBAN SALSA & RUEDA🔥Build on your fundamental Salsa (Casino) and Rueda skills in these fun, high-energy classes with New Zealand’s own maestro of Cuban dance, Isbert ‘Vivio’ Ramos Mediaceja! Step-by-step, you’ll develop a large repertoire of dance moves, refine your techniques, and improve your body movement and footwork—all in a friendly, welcoming environment. 💃🕺

- If you’ve completed The Cuban Groove’s Beginners & Improvers classes and want to level up (talk with Vivio or Justine if you're unsure)
- If you dance Linear Salsa (LA, NY, etc.) and want to explore Cuban-style Salsa/Casino
- If you’re an Intermediate/Advanced Rueda dancer looking to refresh your moves
- If you’re an Advanced dancer who wants to refine technique and master movement

Cuban Salsa (Casino) originated in 1950s Cuba, evolving from Son, Cha-Cha-Cha, and Danzón, blending European and African influences. Today, its rich musical and dance traditions continue in styles like Rumba, Afro-Cuban Orishas, Mambo, and Cubaton—all part of what we teach at The Cuban Groove!

With over 40 years of experience, Vivio has trained thousands of students and professional dance teachers across the South Pacific. A former professional dancer with Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, he brings authenticity, passion, and a down-to-earth teaching style that welcomes all ages and abilities.
💰 PRICES:
$25 – Casual class
$84 – 4-class concession card ($21/class, save $16)
$160 – 8-class concession card ($20/class, save $40)
$228 – 12-class concession card ($19/class, save $72)
We are happy to tell you that our prices include free attendance to classes below your level on the day. E.g. if you pay for an Intermediate class, you can come to the previous Beginners' class for free. A chance to practise, refine and support new students.
