On the cusp of releasing their fifth album, 'Jesus At The Gay Bar' (out this Friday, April 7), Meanjin/Brisbane-based Cub Sport have announced their headline Boorloo/Perth show on Saturday, August 19 at the Astor Theatre.Bringing their electric and joyous performance back to one of Perth's most iconic live venues, 'Jesus At The Gay Bar' finds Cub Sport in all-bangers, few-ballads mode. These are dance songs whose beats capture the feeling of butterflies in your stomach and stars in your eyes, which reify and exalt stories from band members Tim Nelson and Sam Netterfield’s past – namely, their love story. Set to booming dance pop, the album is set to provide more hope and joy at a time when it's sorely needed and a live performance that is set to be one hell of a release.
