The Champaign-Urbana Spinners & Weavers Guild will be at the library showcasing their fiber artistry. Stop by to see spinning and weaving in action! They will demonstrate all the steps of transforming fleece into a scarf—preparing fiber, spinning it into yarn, and weaving the yarn into cloth. They will also share demonstrations of knitting, crochet, and felting.
The CU Spinners and Weavers Guild was started over 50 years ago as a small club. Since then, they have grown into an organization dedicated to promoting the fiber arts in the community through education, demonstrations, and sales.
