CTCC-Concord Commons Fall Tree Planting Event

WHEN: Wednesday October 12 at 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The planting

demonstration will begin at 9:15 am. Afterward, we will split into

groups and plant trees in designated locations throughout the trail.

Please confirm online reservation at check in table upon arrival.

WHERE: Concord Commons 2002 Hanley St. Gary, In 46406

Look for the Student Conservation Association work truck, our crews in the blue shirts, and our watering trailer!

Please stop by the check-in table underneath the pop up tent!

WHAT: Volunteers will plant and mulch native trees.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, face

mask, and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Due to COVID-19

we will not have shared beverage options. There will be bottled water

on hand should you need it, but we promote bringing your own water

in a reusable water bottle if possible! Face masks are required to

participate*

PROVIDED: All project supplies (tools, gloves, etc.) are provided.

Tools and gloves will be cleaned and sanitized prior to the event.

Small working groups will be assigned and maintained throughout

the planting for contact tracing purposes.
