Have you ever wondered why your credit card information hasn’t been stolen through your online purchases? How do journalists use algorithms to keep themselves safe from dictators? Veronica Tang, original co-founder of AGSS, privacy engineer at Google, and former cryptography researcher at Max-Planck returns to teach Cryptography: Security Protocols and Encryption. Together, we’ll learn about the fundamentals of encryption and modern applications of cryptography. Let us also embark upon the noble mission of delivering a cake safely from Isabelle to Bob. Bob’s sweet tooth (and health!) depends on the security protocols you develop to keep the cake safe from our enemies. Come get a taste of the cryptographer’s life; our recipe ends one step short of the Needham-Schroeder Protocol.

For girls grades 5-8.
