Cruz Control is Vince Tuzzi (guitar/vocals and ukulele), Stan Parola (guitar/vocals/and ukulele/harmonica) and Gary “SweetPea” Cunningham on bass/vocals/ukulele. They have evolved into one of the most sought-after bands in Santa Cruz County. A big part of the band's popularity stems from the fact that they play a diverse genre of music from John Prine to Neil Young, Guy Clark, Willie Nelson, Bob Marley, Boz Scaggs, Van Morrison, The Beatles, and The Eagles. Apart from the fact that each band member is an accomplished musician, they also have a unique vocal blend which lends itself to different kinds of music. Each member in the band has their own distinct following. Vince Tuzzi is a well-known solo artist. Stan Parola also plays in Island Breeze and Danceland. Gary Cunningham plays in the Swirly Girls.
