It's time for something new! We are extremely excited to announce CRUSH IT, a new Karaoke competition right here in Ames! So how does it work? Well...
Anyone who would like to participate can show up, between 6pm and 7pm, and put their name and song they wish to sing into a jar. Once it is 7, the show will start! Names will be drawn from the jar at random and the performers will head to the stage and sing when their name is called. After the song, three "judges" will chat with the contestant and speak their unsolicited peace. This would be a good time to mention that THE AUDIENCE WILL BE VOTING!! Caps lock to convey excitement. Having said that, each judge will have one vote of their own that will be worth a significant amount of points that could sway the results, should it be a close race. In the end, the top three will be announced and given prizes and praise!
All in all, this is just supposed to be fun for everyone and a new and exciting way to spend Thursday night! We can't wait to see everyone for the debut of CRUSH IT!
