Crum at the Crum

Welcome to Crum at the Crum! Join us at the Crumlin Road Gaol Visitor Attraction and Conference Centre for a night filled with Country/Delta Blues, Rock, Soul, Latin and Swampy grooves. Luigi Crum reunites for one night only, in memory of their bass player Stuarty Hastings to raise money for Marie Curie. This iconic 80's band are joined by very special guests Linley Hamiliton (trumpet), Dave Howell (saxaphone), Susan & Lucinda McGuigan (backing vocals), Ali McKenzie (bass), Simon Templeton (keyboards), and Brian Warnock (drums).

In the late 70's and having returned from London, Del Halligan decided to resurrect his teenage band Luigi Crum and the Kumbaks. After a few changes to the line-up, it settled with Del Halligan (vocals), Steve Mulholland (drums), Stuarty Hastings (bass) and 17 yr old wunderkind Frankie Lyons (guitar). The chemistry was right and Luigi Crum went on to become one of the best and most popular bands in the country.

For five years they toured throughout Ireland, playing a mix of covers and original songs with their emphasis on the groove. Luigi Crum built a loyal fan base and had plenty of laughs along the way.

Sadly, last July, Stuarty Hastings passed away in the Marie Curie Hospice. At his funeral, his band mates decided to reform and do a gig to raise funds for Marie Curie in celebration of Stuarty, a great bass player, a wonderful band mate, a good friend and a brilliant wit.

Crum at the Crum sees the band get back together with a host of excellent musicians, many of whom are the finest players in NI. Get ready for a unique experience that you won't forget.
