Cruise to the Northern Neck

Electric vehicle owners are invited to enjoy a scenic drive to the Northern Neck, where we will join local owners displaying their rides and sharing their experiences at the Heathsville Earth Day Festival.

We will depart at 8:30 AM from the EVgo charging stations at the Kohl's in Mechanicsville (7390 Bell Creek Road). Then, we'll travel 64 miles (about 90 minutes) on US-360 to Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern in Heathsville (73 Monument Place). Here is the Google Maps directions: .

Our group will arrive just in time to enjoy lots of fun activities. The tavern will be hosting Earth Day activities from 9 AM to 1 PM and a wine tasting festival from 11 AM to 4 PM. It will also be opening day for the local farmers market at the tavern.

As a reminder, when you sign up for the cruise, you will also be agreeing to stick around until 1 PM and include your car in the display. You don’t have to be glued to your car for three hours, but please try to be available as much as you can to answer people’s questions about your experiences as an EV owner.

There is no fee to participate, but we encourage you to donate to the Northumberland Association for Progressive Stewardship, which is organizing the Earth Day Festival (). The nonprofit advocates for responsible land use and protecting natural resources in and around Northumberland County.
