CRUCIAL CONNECTIONS: Being a Lifeline for Survivors 💙
In Indiana, suicide is the 9th leading cause of death, and each loss can deeply affect up to 135 people. Thousands of Hoosiers are grieving right now. Many more want to support them but aren’t sure how.
CRUCIAL CONNECTIONS is a FREE, interactive performance that breaks the silence around loss by suicide. It’s part of The Sapphire Theatre’s award-winning PICTURE THIS® program. Through live, real-life scenarios, audience members talk directly with the characters. Together we practice ways to support each other, strengthen the connections that protect us, and open conversations that could save lives. It was developed with grief and suicide prevention experts.
Each 90-minute presentation includes:
🎭 Live performances by professional actors
💬 Time to talk with the characters and experts
🌿 Simple stress-reducing theatre techniques
📋 Current, vetted information and support options
🤝 A judgment-free space with others who understand
☕ A reception with light refreshments, conversation and take-home resources
📅 Sunday, Nov. 15 at 11:30am Unity of Indianapolis (907 N. Delaware St.) - Please check our page for additional performances!
🎟️ Free admission.
A reception follows each show.
