The New Mexico Robot Combat Club competition is just around the corner and we are in the robot mood!
For the next FREE Family Friday event, we are getting out the LEGO Mindstorms, Make Blocks and even the custom built battling robots for you all! Maybe you want something a little more Old School. We’ve got Lego free builds and Tinker Toys.
For those who are less inclined toward the tech, we will also have crafty makes available like jointed paper robots, or perler bead backpack charms.
And then comes the Disassembly Activity (a favorite around the Makerspace). Take apart household electrical items to see what makes them go! Use screwdrivers, wire snips, and mallets to get into the machinery - watch for motors and gears that you can use for your own make-and-take robot sculpture/machine.
This event will take place at 205 E Lohman Ave 88001 on September 27th from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM.
