Crown Up is a FREE 2-day educational and empowerment event designed for African American boys and girls ages 8–18. This interactive experience focuses on teaching youth the fundamentals of hair care while encouraging confidence, self-expression, and pride in their natural beauty.
Participants will learn hands-on skills and techniques including:
• Braiding and weaving hair
• Hair cutting and trimming
• Hair coloring basics
• Protective and everyday styles
• Understanding hair textures, styles, cuts, and details
• General hair care and maintenance
