About this Event
*Small Group Walk - Registration Required - 10 person limit*
Walk Description: Crows, and other urban wildlife, will be the main focus of the walk. I think the boundaries between 'wilderness' and 'urban' is often conventional. The goal of this work is to highlight how these two systems, that often seem distinct, share more than we realize by highlighting the ways we share space with crows, sparrows, trees, pollinators, and other life that might fade into the background in our crowded lives.
Walk Leader: I'm an amateur bird watcher with a degree in Communications and a diploma in Urban Planning! I am facinated with urban ecology and all the way wilderness interects with cities and ourselves as urbanites.
Starting place: Granview Loop Park
How to recognize your walk leader(s): I will be wearing a bright yellow baseball cap with a duck on it
Accessibility Info: Uneven terrain, Stairs, non-accessible curb cuts, or other barriers, Family-friendly
Travel Tips: Parking is difficult in the neighbourhood, but is easily accessible by bike and transit. The starting point is close to a 20 stop and in between 2 major bike routes.
