Students utilize critical thinking skills learned in a classroom with real world applications in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Participants spend four days on CROW’s campus with members of the medical staff, students, and volunteers to learn about the wildlife who call Southwest Florida home. Students observe a sampling of medical demonstrations to show how injuries and illnesses are treated in the hospital during this summer camp. The camp curriculum meets Florida’s Next Generation Science Standards for content and dissection.
Following the demonstrations, campers are provided opportunities to replicate some of these same treatments on a deceased specimen during a dissection lab. Sign your child up for this unique and educational summer camp experience!
