Guest Speaker: Bridget Sakr
Bridget Sakr is a mother known for her resilience and activism following a personal tragedy. In February 2020, her daughter Veronique Sakr, along with her three cousins, was killed by a drunk driver in Oatlands, Sydney. This devastating event profoundly impacted Bridget, leading her to advocate for road safety and community support.
After the death of her daughter Bridget launched Heartfelt, a Catholic trauma support network. She identified a gap in spiritual accompaniment that included the presence of Christ for those in grief. She openly talks about her experience and insights about grief and how she was inspired to support others in their grief journey who may need it to groups and organisations all over the country.
We will hear from Bridget about her story of grief, finding Christ in her suffering, and the power of forgiveness.
