Initiation into adulthood by parents & community has faded yet there is nothing more important than preparing children to meet the world
About this Event

"The greatest gift we can bestow upon our children is the profound gift of our full, undivided attention. By creating intentional and sacred moments to truly listen to their ideas, nurture their boundless imaginations, cultivate their innate gifts, explore their vulnerabilities, and celebrate their achievements, we lay the foundation for their confidence and unique identity to flourish. This powerful act of love and presence not only enriches their lives but also transforms our bond into a timeless legacy of joy and connection." Says Kamau.

His new book is a treasure trove of Rites of Passage for young men of color.

Crossing the Threshold; Embracing the Call: Conceptualizing, Co-Creating and Building Community Through Rites of Passage is an important and seminal work that guides a new generation of educators, councelors, mentors, and Rites of Passage facilitators through timeless pillars, concepts, and frameworks on coming of age rituals for boys of African American and Indigenous anchestry. The book contextualizes transformational initiation experiences that have occurred in their lives and provides the tools for designing passages for future generations. It provides the foundation for the harvesting of affirmative identity, sacred gifts, and the actualization of one's Divine purpose by restoring sacred and timeless African and indegenious inspired rituals for optimal levels of community building. represents a lifelong journey of Kamau Ptah's passages, coupled with thirty years of professional experiences conceptualizing, designing, implementing, co-creating, and facilitating rites of passage in every community he has served worldwide.
