Crochet a Glasses Case from an Old T-Shirt: Upcycle Workshop Montreal

In this three hour workshop, you are going to cut a shirt into strips, turn it into your own soft stretchy yarn, and crochet it into a glasses case you will actually use.

From old t-shirt to finished handmade accessory, all in one afternoon! Two skills learned, one problem solved, and something genuinely satisfying to show for your Sunday.

There is something really special about making your own material from scratch before making something with it!

No crochet experience needed.

We teach you everything step by step. T-shirt yarn is thick, soft, and one of the most beginner friendly materials to learn on. If you have crocheted before, even better.

What to bring:

An old t-shirt, jersey dress, cotton tank top, leggings, or any soft stretchy fabric you want to give a new life. The softer and stretchier the better. Do not have anything to bring? No problem, we have fabric on hand for you.

Dans cet atelier de trois heures au Dr. Lemco's Creative Club, tu vas le couper en bandes, le transformer en ta propre laine douce et élastique, et le crocheter en un étui à lunettes que tu vas vraiment utiliser. D'un vieux t-shirt à un accessoire fait à la main, tout ça en un après-midi. Deux skills appris, un problème réglé, et quelque chose de vraiment satisfaisant à montrer pour ton dimanche.

C'est un de nos ateliers les plus populaires, de retour par demande populaire pour la troisième fois. Il y a quelque chose de vraiment spécial à fabriquer ton propre matériau from scratch avant de créer quelque chose avec. Tout le processus ressemble à un tour de magie.

Aucune expérience en crochet nécessaire. On t'enseigne tout étape par étape. La laine en t-shirt est épaisse, douce et un des matériaux les plus accessibles pour apprendre. Si tu as déjà crochété, encore mieux.

Ce qu'il faut apporter: Un vieux t-shirt, robe jersey, camisole en coton, leggings, ou n'importe quel tissu doux et élastique que tu veux donner une nouvelle vie. Plus c'est doux et élastique, mieux c'est. T'as rien à apporter? Aucun problème, on a du tissu sur place pour toi.
