CRITICAL: Attend the next Howell Township Board Meeting on Nov. 20th 6:30 PM HOWELL TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING UPDATE
The November 10, 2025 Township Board Meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rod Bushey Performing Arts Center Howell High School Auditorium - 1200 W Grand River.
Why? This township board meeting will include an agenda item on a rezoning moratorium that, if passed, will pause any data center rezoning applications and allow the township critical time to review existing rules and ensure we are protected.
WE MUST SHOW UP IN NUMBERS! We have to push the Township Board to pass this moratorium. Without the moratorium, we risk a data center being passed with ZERO ordinance protections for residents, the environment, our public utilities, etc. We cannot allow that to happen.
Prior to the meeting (by Nov. 17), Compete the following:
1️⃣ SIGN & SHARE THE PETITION demanding the Township board pass a moratorium.

2️⃣ CALL THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE requesting a moratorium be passed on November 20 at ☎️ 517-546-2817
Example Call ➡️ “Hi, my name is [name] and I’m a [Fowlerville/Howell Township/Howell/Handy Township] resident. I am calling/writing to urge the board to enact, at minimum, a 6-month moratorium on rezoning application reviews and approvals at the November 10 Board Meeting, to allow for time to review and revise our ordinances and protect the health and welfare of residents and the environment from unregulated data center development. I’m deeply concerned about a project this massive (or any related project) moving forward without a thorough review of our township rulebook - this is unacceptable! I will be at the November 10th meeting and expect a moratorium to be passed at that time. Thank you for your consideration.”
3️⃣ EMAIL A PUBLIC, WRITTEN COMMENT to the Township Board requesting a moratorium be passed on data center rezoning requests until we're able to review and revise our township rules and ensure the community is protected. Send your public written comment to the following emails:
