Cristine Brache: Goodnight Sweet Thing

Artist and filmmaker Cristine Brache is joined by Natasha Stagg, hannah baer, and Mara Mckevitt in a reading on the occasion of the launch of Cristine’s book , published by anonymous Publishing.

The second collection of Cristine’s poetry, Goodnight Sweet Thing presents poems about mortality, power dynamics, and constructs of the female body and psyche to unapologetically reconstruct Cristine’s inner life. Her words provoke—conjuring the embodied contradictions of living—they are at once apathetic yet impassioned, insusceptible yet vulnerable. Together with Cristine, the readers touch on their own subjectivity and desire within the bounds of modern life.
