In the legion, we will be playing upstairs in the bingo hall gong forward. This bingo hall is spacious, lots of light and less distractions. Not wheel chair accessible

My name is Lyndon, I've lived in Winnipeg for the past 20 years. I've been playing cribbage off and on probably since I was 10 Years Old. My dad taught me how to play and he usually stole points from me back in the day, now I steal points from him. HA. I joined a cribbage group in early 2019, really enjoyed play with the group. It was on Wilton (Check this group out on Meetup). However, my work schedule changed since that year and late 2021 and early 2022, my dream was to host my own cribbage nights.
So, I started buying cribbage boards and cards and now have a great stock for large groups. Then I had to find a venue, where I don’t have to pay any cost to rent a venue and supply my own drinks and food. I was contacted in late 2021 or early 2022, I believe by the President of the Heather Curling Club and was suggested to contact Rob to see if I can do cribbage nights. We were still in the middle of COVID so, I didn’t message right way, but in early 2023, I sent an email to Rob, and we had a phone call chat as well. I went to see the Curling Club and the rest is history.
We are still a small group, but I am ready to have a large group. I could host up to 80 players.
We recently had Winnipeg Free Press at the Heather Curling Club on Oct 25th, to do a story on the cribbage nights. The article was in the November 10th paper. The online version is updated with photos of myself
Event Details
Please be advised that there is a minimum age requirement of 18 years old. Kindly note that while it is not a fully licensed restaurant, there is a bar available for your convenience. Participation in cribbage games is free of charge.
We welcome all levels of skill. We have cards and boards available for everyone to use. Additionally, name tags will be provided by me. Whether you're a beginner or haven't played in a while, don't worry, we are here to assist you. And if you have years of experience, we encourage you to join us and share your expertise with those who may need guidance.
Looking for a lively night filled with laughter and friendly competition? Join us for a thrilling game where participants play in pairs. The winners of each round get to level up and switch partners at the next table. Don't worry if you don't have a partner, come solo and we'll gladly match you up with a fantastic teammate. This event promises to be a blast, providing you with the perfect opportunity to mingle and make new acquaintances. Get ready for a memorable evening of camaraderie and endless fun!
Based on the number of participants, there is a possibility that a couple of tables will have only three players. In such instances, the top two players from those tables will be relocated to a different table, ensuring that each table receives two new players.
