Hello, CRHS Alumni and friends!
We're getting an early start on the 2026 CRHS Alumni Dinner by meeting on Tuesday, 11/18/25 at 6:00 pm at the Crystal River First Baptist Church. Please join us to volunteer for a role in making the next fundraising event successful. Our fish fry on October 11 was a great success, but still resulted in too few people doing too much work.
This email was sent to everyone we have an email address for. However, if you know of others who did not get this email and are interested in the continuation of the Alumni Association, please invite them to this meeting. If you're unable to attend this meeting but want to participate, please reply by email to let us know what committee you'd like to serve on.
Committee roles and officer positions will be discussed--please come with any ideas you have for strengthening our alumni association. Ideas for committees and a list of officer positions are shown below.
Committees:
Publicity - year round updates to our social media pages
Fundraising - new events, unrelated to the October event
Scholarships - revise application by December 10, 2025; review applicants in April 2026 to select recipients
October Reunion Event - kitchen crew, frying crew, memorials (photos/slide presentation), emcee, class recognitions (table decor or other items), soliciting local businesses for basket donations, ticket sales at event (50/50 and baskets), cleanup crew (and any other roles I've forgotten)
CRHS Liaison - coordinate with CRHS to participate in and support other alumni events (Football Homecoming Game, Blue/Gold Banquet, teacher appreciation week, etc.)
Officers:
President - guides committees, serves as the "face" of the CRHS Alumni Association, Inc.
Vice President - assists president, preparing to step into president role in the future
Secretary - takes minutes at each meeting, coordinate with treasurer and president to report to state (the alumni association is incorporated and must file with state annually)
Treasurer - maintains database of graduates and friends, receives payments and donations, provides annual financial report, coordinates with colleges on behalf of scholarship recipients
