In a world filled with constant distractions, this year’s Crescent City Chamber Music Festival promises to provide relief and renewed inspiration with seven free public concerts, Oct. 15–26 in New Orleans that embrace the theme, “Music That Cuts Through the Noise.” Audiences are invited to experience the beauty and authenticity of live chamber music performed by celebrated artists from across the world, performing alongside members of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
Join Ensemble-in-Residence the Manhattan Chamber Players for performances of two of the seminal masterworks in the string chamber music repertoire: Antonín Dvořák’s String Quintet in Eb major and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence for string sextet, all in the bright, powerful acoustic of the historic Saint Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church – a Sunday afternoon celebration of strings not to be missed!
CCCMF Founding Artistic Director Luke Fleming leads an informal Pre-Concert Talk and Q&A at 3:30 PM.
