Sunshine Events Center | Springfield, MO
This month, CREID welcomes Sam M. Coryell for a conversation on the history of TLC Properties and the mindset that has fueled its growth over the past 38 years.
Sam will share the story of how TLC began with a single 12-unit apartment community in 1988 and grew into a multi-state company managing nearly 2,700 apartment homes across the Midwest. While the market, industry, and resident expectations have continued to evolve, TLC’s foundation has remained the same: a culture willing to adapt, pivot, and grow through change while putting people first.
From shifting market conditions to operational challenges, Sam will offer a candid look at the leadership decisions and people-first approach that continue to shape TLC’s success today.
Whether you work in development, investment, property management, or are simply looking to grow your perspective in commercial real estate, this session will provide practical insight from someone who has spent decades leading through change.
Before the meeting, join us for Happy Hour sponsored by Duff Co — Duffey Construction, a Springfield-area general contractor recognized for quality craftsmanship, strong processes, and getting the job done right.
CREID is Springfield's community for commercial real estate investors, developers, and industry professionals. Attendance is free and open to all. Bring a business partner, a colleague, or someone you have been meaning to connect with the group.
