The tunnels date back over 200 years and were originally used by smugglers. They are a network of subterranean tunnels beneath the old Palace and Floral Pavilion. The tunnels were later converted into a top secret munitions factory for WW2 and reportedly employed 200 women. These also served as an air raid shelter. In more recent times, the tunnels served as a night club called “The Creep Inn” where the nickname, “Creep Tunnels” originated from. Now, the tunnels are being converted into a museum hosting a wide range of WW2 artifacts with the munitions factory machinery still in a part of the tunnels.
Reports of a grey lady and spirits of passengers from the shipwrecked Pelican have been recorded down in the tunnels. Taps, bangs and objects moving are just some of the activity witnessed within the tunnels. We will use modern investigation techniques and traditional methods of communication to give you a real, raw paranormal investigation.
