Born in Kent but spending her primary years in Japan, Amy studied Vocal and Opera Studies at the RNCM graduating with a 1st Class Honours Degree. Seven years on, she returned as a Masters student on the Popular Music course in 2019.

A versatile voice and flare for performance has led Amy to have a diverse career as a classical and pop singer, a song-writer, an actor-musician, and a musical comedian.

Starting her singing career in the classical world, Amy has performed as a soloist across the country including at the Wigmore Hall, Hollywell Music Room and at Leeds Lieder Festival. Also enjoying contemporary classical music, she had a leading role in two world premieres; Anya17 with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s 10/10 Ensemble and The Mermaid of Zennor at London’s Tete a Tete festival. She has toured extensively singing the works of Gilbert and Sullivan with Opera Anywhere as the lead soprano. As well as this Amy has performed solo recitals globally from Didsbury Arts Festival to Gozo, Malta. Amy has a passion for making opera accessible (and sometimes comical…) which has lead her to sing live on air for BBC Radio 5 Live and ITV’S This Morning.

Following her classical studies, Amy trained in acting and Musical Theatre through Hope Mill Theatre and Manchester Actors’ Platform. Amy has performed in actor-musician roles with companies such as Feel Good Theatre and JB Shorts productions with renowned directors Caroline Clegg and Roger Haines. One of Amy’s personal highlights as an actor-musician was working as a narrator for Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra in their performance of Stephen McNeff’s Peter Rabbit, which was showcased in venues such as the RNCM Concert Hall and the Preston Gulidhall. She also performed at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre as part of their Co:Lab Festival 2019 and has written and performed several songs for Manchester’s Take Back Theatre. Amy’s most recent theatre work was a 2021 Christmas tour of Robin Hood with Lamphouse Theatre.

A new vocal chapter started for Amy when she started studying pop music in 2017. As a pop singer, Amy has sung backing vocals for multiple bands, including Alt-J and also worked as a session singer for various recording projects. Also a fan of jazz, Amy sang at Marciac Jazz Festival, Edinburgh Festival, Matt & Phreds Jazz Club and was featured as a guest with the RNCM Big Band on multiple occasions . Amy was formally front woman of prog-pop band KAZE who received multiple plays on BBC Radio 6 Music as well as singing a live session for BBC Radio Scotland. Amy directed and featured in all 7 of the KAZE music videos which can still be viewed on Youtube. Amy now writes and releases her own music under the name, Eimie and you can hear her music and follow her on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram.

Amy’s latest career extension has come in the form of Musical Comedy. In June 2021, Amy won the ‘Audience Favourite’ Award at the 2020 national Musical Comedy Awards and was also shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2021, most recently in 2022, she came runner up in ‘Beat the Frog World Series’. As well as having a monthly feature writing and singing a ‘News’ Song’ for BBC Radio Manchester, she also appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row writing and singing a song in a day in April 2021. Amy started comedy in 2019 after winning her first 'Beat The Frog' at Manchester's Frog and Bucket.

Amy is also an accomplished composer, writing commercial and educational works for leading ELT Publishers including Oxford University Press as well as jingles for BBC Radio and London Mayoral candidate (and Youtuber) Max Fosh. She has written several songs for Manchester’s Take Back Theatre as well as working as sound designer for Dark Horse Theatre.
