Creature Feature - Fringe Festival Ceramic Group Show

They've been smuggled in under cover of darkness. Local ceramicists have unleashed their most inventive creations to run riot at the Pot House – and now they wait. Perched. Watching. Ready to claim a place in your world… or take you into theirs.
Fringe Festival 2026 has become their landing site. Take one home if you dare. Adopt a creature of your very own – before they adopt you, some are suspiciously cute (probably the most dangerous ones).
Think of creatures that defy logic—beings that seem born from myth, mutation, or distant galaxies. Tentacled forms with too many eyes. Curious hybrids with fins, claws, or unexpected limbs. Creatures that might have escaped a laboratory, drifted up from the ocean floor, or landed from somewhere far beyond our sky.
This is a celebration of the wonderfully weird, the oddly beautiful, and the utterly inventive. The makers have dreamed up truly imaginative creatures that stirs curiosity, raises an eyebrow, or lingers in the mind long after you've looked away.
This exhibition will be part of the Fringe Festival 2026 on 24th of October at The Incubator Creative Hub, The Historic Village, 17th Ave, Tauranga.
On display at The Pot House Gallery from the 25th of October to the 21st of November 10am to 3pm.
