Join Tessa and Sammy for a Unique Creative Experience!
Dive into a world of colour, movement, and expression with our 3 hr Abstract Art & Movement Workshop! Whether you're an art enthusiast or a dance lover, this workshop is designed to unleash your creativity and introduce you to new forms of artistic expression. Suitable for beginners in movement & art.
Your Facilitators:
Tessa Marie Bartholomew : Abstract/landscape Artist known for her vibrant use of colour and unique artistic process. Tessa will guide you through her creative journey, offering insights on staying motivated, sparking new ideas, and integrating music and dance into your art.
Sammy Mamaissata Doncamara : Dynamic dance instructor specialising in Afro-style dance. Sammy will introduce you to the joyous world of movement, helping you explore how dance can influence and enhance your artistic expression.
What You Will Learn:
- Artistic Techniques : Learn Tessa's approach to abstract art, including tips on being confident with colour and layering graphic elements over abstract backgrounds.
- Movement Integration : Experience how Afro dance movements can inspire and shape your art, taught by the energetic Sammy.
- Creative Freedom : Gain insights on how to overcome the judgmental mind, laugh at yourself, and embrace a carefree approach to creating.
Workshop Details:
- Duration : 3 hours of fun, learning, and creativity.
- Schedule: Movement exercise with Sammy to loosen up and get those creative juices flowing (approx 45 mins) Abstract painting with Tessa 1st layer, fun & loose (approx 45mins - 1hr), short break 20 mins (layer 1 to dry) back for layer two creating graphic elemnts over our abstract paintings (approx 45 mins - 1 hr). No two paintings will be the same.
- Refreshments : tea & coffee available with sharing platter of fruit & nuts etc, to keep your energy up (please notify of allergies).
- Break : There will be a short break midway to relax and mingle.
