Join us for our April meetup with speaker Candace Stock!☕️ 8am – Coffee Served
🎤 8:15am – Program Begins
Our theme for April is EMBER. It was chosen by our Poulsbo chapter in Washington and illustrated by Sarah Gordon.
The literal meaning of ember is a small piece of burning or glowing coal or wood in a dying fire. But as a metaphor, it means so much more.

Our Speaker: Candace Stock
Growing up in Mahnomen, Minnesota, Candace Stock developed a deep connection to nature and a passion for culinary arts. Her family’s dedication to gardening, along with the abundance of fresh produce, fish, and game, and her grandmother’s pickles, jams, ferments, and fresh baked bread, helped shape her culinary path. Candace’s culinary career began in high school and continued at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, with travels to France and China further enriching her knowledge, and her work spanning farm-to-table restaurants, catering companies, and food trucks across the East Coast. After returning to Fargo, North Dakota to raise her son, she found strong community support, leading her to host inclusive community dinners and create welcoming spaces centered around food. Her commitment to community and culture is reflected in her involvement with Indigenous dinners, land-based experiences, and sharing the healing properties of the Badlands through food. Being invited to consult for the café of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and serving as executive chef is an incredible honor, allowing her to honor the nation’s first people and share food as medicine, all guided by the Creator.

What is CreativeMornings?
CreativeMornings is a free monthly lecture series designed for creative communities. The concept is simple: a short talk one Friday morning a month.
Fargo's chapter started back in 2018. Our monthly event takes place on a Friday from 8:00am - 9:30am. It allows individuals to enjoy creative connections, inspire community, and create opportunities. Open to everyone, free, and hosted at the Plains Art Museum in downtown Fargo.
