Finding inspiration in the National Library of Scotland Archives and the Glasgow Life Museum StoresThis May we will host two creative writing workshop for young people aged 16-25 at Kelvin Hall. Those interested can attend one, or both workshops.

Historic Footage, New Stories: finding inspiration in the NLS archives
In this workshop you’ll learn to explore the National Library of Scotland's Moving Image and Sound Archives, discovering sights and sounds from across Scotland’s history. Taking inspiration from what you find, and supported by University of Glasgow-based writer Michael Deerwater, you’ll use your observations and experiences to begin crafting your own story.

Museum Store-ies: creating new tales from the collection
Telling the stories of the objects in Glasgow Museums' store is usually a curator’s job. In this workshop, it’s yours. You’ll roam our rows of art and artifacts and, supported by writer and University of Glasgow researcher Michael Deerwater, imagine new tales for the items you discover.
