Kelvingrove Writers, Pluriversal Writing Group, and The Good Egg Project presents: A writing retreat for creative writers
Join us on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11 am-4 pm for an all-day writing retreat with 3 curious and creative communities based in Central Scotland. The retreat will be led by Jess Smith from Kelvingrove Writers, Emma van Dinter founder of Pluriversal Writing Group, and The Good Egg Project's Naomi Head.
The retreat brings together these three curious and creative writing communities from Edinburgh, Greenock, and Glasgow. The goals of the day are to bring writers from across Scotland together, build stronger community connections, and get words on paper!
About our hosts
Jess Smith - Kelvingrove Writers
Kelvingrove Writers is a writing group and creative community based in Glasgow, first founded by Jess Smith in 2022. Kelvingrove Writers host free fortnightly writing sessions and regular literary events, with the goal of providing struggling local writers with a dedicated time and space to write, and building a friendly and supportive network of creatives throughout Glasgow.
Emma van Dinter - Pluriversal Writing Group
Pluriversal Writing Group was formed by Emma Van Dinter in 2025. Pluriversal is a Greenock-based creative writing group welcoming multilingual, English, and Scots speakers, novice and practising writers. Pluriversal's free sessions inspires community building through shared exploration of the vastness the human experience.
Naomi Head - The Good Egg Project
The Good Egg Project is a community for writers based in Edinburgh and run by Naomi Head. The Good Egg Project started in 2022 with small community groups and has grown to include The Chicken Coop Writing Group, Wordsand Friends, and other writing events in person andonline. The Good Egg Project also releases a weekly newsletter with prompts, events, and opportunities forwriters of all levels and genres.
Tickets and pricing
Early bird tickets are sold out
General sale tickets are £20 and available from Wednesday, December 17.
Concessions are available for college and university students, retired and older people aged 60+, and for those who are unemployed, unwaged, on low income, or receiving benefits. Please message Emma, Jess, or Naomi about concessions tickets
