Creative Sparks - Queer Artist Panel & Creativity Session for Arty Teens

About this Event

Join us for an insight into local professional artists’ creative processes.  The session is designed to encourage young people to find your own ideas and learn new ways to finish your projects.  
🌈Gain insight into how working artists generate and develop ideas 
🌈Learn practical approaches to starting and finishing creative projects
🌈Meet authentic queer creative role models 
🌈Develop confidence in your own creative voice 
🌈Leave with a completed or in-progress work 

Suitable for artists in the 14-18yo age group

We'll begin with a panel of 3 queer artists in which they are invited to have a short discussion, facilitated by Cindy Walter, about what sparks an idea, how they work through that idea, then plan and execute their own projects.

Following this, a practical activity in which you'll either create a project in your preferred medium, or in absence of a preference, paint a portrait of the artists in attendance and/or a still life of the artist’s objects.
